Half Straddle is a New York City–based ensemble of performers and designers led by writer and director Tina Satter. Since 2008, the company has created bold, formally inventive theatre, performance, video, and music works that have premiered across the U.S., Europe, Australia, and Asia. Half Straddle’s last play Is This A Room premiered at The Kitchen in 2019, and went on to acclaimed runs Off Broadway at the Vineyard Theatre and on Broadway at the Lyceum Theatre. Half Straddle’s work has also been presented at other venues in the U.S. including, among others, the Walker Art Center, Performance Space New York, Bushwick Starr, Philly Live Arts, and leading international festivals including Schaubühne’s FIND, Theaterformen, Vienna Festival, Perth Festival, Kyoto Experiment, and more. Tina Satter is currently an Artist-in-Residence at the Park Avenue Armory.
