Christina Gelsone has performed in 44 countries as a wordless clown, mask performer, juggler, and acrobat. From 2006 to 2023, she created work with her late husband and clown partner Seth Bloom as the duo Acrobuffos, including the internationally acclaimed shows Waterbombs! and Air Play. They headlined the Big Apple Circus and international events such as the Adelaide Festival, the Cervantino Festival, and the Acrobatic Art Festival in Wuhan, where they received the Yellow Crane Prize. She has worked in post-conflict zones including Kosovo, Albania, Serbia, and Egypt, and taught acrobatics for girls inAfghanistan. Over half a million people have seen her shows live. She continues to make new silent comedy for international audiences. Gelsone was awarded a solo artist NYSCA grant in 2022, and has received support from Chamäleon Theater Berlin and Flushing Town Hall for her project GREEF.
