Caitlin Trainor is a NYC-based dancer, choreographer and creative entrepreneur. Named one of “25 to Watch” by Dance Magazine, she is known for imaginative and highly physical dances, creating both pure dance and game-based, audience-interactive work. She is the founder and artistic director of Trainor Dance, a contemporary dance company, and has collaborated with artists and thinkers of all stripes, from classical ballet dancers to scientists, resulting in performances at the World Science Festival, TEDx Columbia University, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, and more. Trainor is a member of the dance faculty at Barnard College/Columbia University. She is also the founder of Dancio.com, providing online dance classes with the world’s best teachers of ballet, contemporary and modern dance, currently in use in over 180 countries around the globe.
