ABOUT THE RESIDENCY
Never Alone follows 7 sailors in a World War 2 submarine, thick in the heat of battle. They are sleep deprived and battling extreme stress as they attempt to escape a heated battle in a crippled submarine deep in the North Atlantic. Their minds wander to the loves that they have left at home. Those thoughts threaten to distract them from their duties, putting their very lives at risk. But it is the reminder of why they are fighting, which is the reassurance they need to keep going.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Andy Blankenbuehler is a proud recipient of the 2018 Kennedy Center Honors for his work on the musical Hamilton. He is a three-time Tony Award winner for his choreography in the musicals Bandstand, In The Heights and Hamilton, for which he also received London’s Olivier Award. Other Broadway credits include Bring It On (Tony nomination), 9 To 5 (Tony nomination), The People In The Picture, The Apple Tree, Annie, and the revival of CATS. Other theatrical work includes Only Gold (MCC), Desperately Seeking Susan (West End), FLY (La Jolla Playhouse), The Wiz (City Center Encores), A Little Princess (Andrew Lippa), the international tour of Joseph, and Nine at the Kennedy Center which will soon be opening on Broadway.
His work on TV and film includes: the Universal/Working Title feature film Cats, starring Taylor Swift and Judy Dench among others, Fosse/Verdon (FX), Dirty Dancing (ABC/Lionsgate), America’s Got Talent, So You Think You Can Dance, The Sopranos, MTV, Sesame Street, as well as many commercials. He has staged work for Janelle Monae, Elton John, and Bette Midler, as well as the 2022 Met Gala featuring Leslie Odom Jr. and Lenny Kravitz. He is very proud to have recently premiered his first ballet entitled Remember Our Song, for Tulsa Ballet.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Mr. Blankenbuehler resides in New York City with his wife Elly and two children, Luca and Sofia. Mr. Blankenbuehler is a proud recipient of both the Drama Desk and Dance Magazine Awards for his achievement in the theatre.
