Located in the heart of NYC within walking distance to Times Square, Hudson Yards, Penn Station, the High Line and more, Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) is a 22,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility that offers a spectacular setting for any event, including corporate meetings, rehearsals, film and photo shoots, galas, weddings, and more.
Baryshnikov Arts Center’s column-free spaces are equipped with theatrical lighting, professional sound systems, sprung floors, and a neutral color palette of textured concrete and white walls, making them a flexible canvas for special events. High ceilings and expansive windows with western and southern exposure give natural light and stunning views of Manhattan, the Hudson River, and gorgeous sunsets.

JEROME ROBBINS THEATER
An intimate venue with a floor-level stage and a fixed-seating orchestra and balcony, the Jerome Robbins Theater features a sprung stage that is 42’ wide by 28’ deep, a ceiling height of 33′, and a maximum trim height of 27′. The raked bench seating, for up to 238 audience members, accommodates a maximum of 187 in the orchestra and 51 in the balcony. The theater is ADA compliant and includes two fully-equipped dressing rooms and four public restrooms.
HOWARD GILMAN PERFORMANCE SPACE
Made up of both the Rudolf Nureyev Studio and the Danny Kaye & Sylvia Fine Kaye Studio, the Gilman is a large, open space that can accommodate many different activities. The space is 72’ wide by 43’ deep, and the grid height is 15’ 4”. Located on the 4th floor of BAC, it includes a lobby, two public restrooms equipped with locker rooms, and a kitchen.
RUDOLF NUREYEV STUDIO
The Rudolf Nureyev Studio has expansive windows with southern and western exposures. With dimensions of 43’ x 43’ and 15′ 4” grid height, the space can hold up to 74 people and is equipped with a sound system and rolling mylar mirrors. The windows can be fully masked by utilizing motorized blackout shades or darkened by lowering the scrim sunshades.
DANNY KAYE AND SyLVIA FINE KAYE STUDIO
The Danny Kaye & Sylvia Fine Kaye Studio has expansive windows with southern exposure. With dimensions of 43′ x 29′ and 17’ 7” ceiling height, it holds up to 50 people and is equipped with a sound system. The windows can be fully masked by utilizing motorized blackout shades or darkened by lowering the window’s scrim sunshades. The Kaye Studio features mirrors along the 29’ eastern wall.
JOHN CAGE AND MERCE CUNNINGHAM STUDIO
The John Cage and Merce Cunningham Studio has expansive windows with southern and western exposures. It has dimensions of 43′ x 43′, an 18′ grid height and a capacity of 74 people. The studio is equipped with a sound system and its windows can be fully masked by utilizing motorized blackout shades or darkened by lowering the scrim sunshades. The studio is equipped with mirrors along the 43’ eastern wall.
CHRISTINA STERNER STUDIO
The Christina Sterner Studio has windows with southern exposure and dimensions of 27’ x 30′ with a 19’ 5” ceiling height. The Sterner studio can hold up to 30 people and is equipped with a sound system. The studio windows can be fully masked by utilizing motorized blackout shades or darkened by lowering the scrim sunshades. The studio is also equipped with mirrors along the western wall.

Subsidized Rehearsal space
Baryshnikov Arts Center offers subsidized rehearsal space to qualifying artists and organizations at a reduced rate of $10 per hour.
The Subsidized Rehearsal Program is made possible with support from the New York State Council on the Arts with support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.
