2026 Summer Playspace
Where Young Artists Make the Fun: August 10–14, 2026
The Summer Arts PlaySpace offers children ages 6–12 the chance to explore their creativity in one immersive, fun-filled week. Drawing inspiration from the world-class artists who perform and create at Baryshnikov Arts Center, this year’s theme, “Origin Story: Making Art About Our Pasts, Presents, and Futures,” invites participants to create work rooted in their own ideas and experiences.
Each day begins with sessions in dance, drama, visual art, and music. In the afternoon, participants work with professional teaching artists in the Create and Make Space, developing original performances based on the theme and the skills explored earlier in the day. The week culminates in a Friday sharing, where participants present their work for family and friends.

- 9:00 AM–3:30 PM
- Extended Day: Available Monday–Thursday until 5:00 PM
